David Fincher's Gone Girl.

Gone Girl is a David Fincher film. Its got all the Fincher shit you'd expect: green/yellow tint, top craft and disturbing psychological violence.

There isn't that much that isn't in the previews to surprise. The movie has its nice twists but because its a Fincher film we expect those twists to come so the movie feels anticlimactic for the most part. And maybe that was the intent. But it doesnt work for me because we dont get to know the characters beyond the horrible shit they do to eachother.

I need to see it again, that's for sure. Because in the end I felt like the whole thing had been inconsequential. Maybe it is meant to be absurd but till I see it again I cant be sure.
